Four photovoltaic plants will supply clean energy to the company’s branches in Andalusia and Madrid.
Royse, Bearings and Services, continues to take firm steps for the benefit of the environment and in the fight against climate change. On this occasion, we have demonstrated this with the installation of new energy self-sufficiency systems, capable of covering part of the energy consumed in several of our branches.
Royse’s commitment to environmental sustainability involves an emission-free model and the decarbonization of the economy. This is why we have opted to install four new photovoltaic plants that will generate clean energy to supply the Andalusia and Madrid branches.
Reducing the carbon footprint, a priority objective
The new photovoltaic power plants, installed by the company TSO (The South Oracle), are equipped with the Eco20 certification, the only seal that guarantees the solar energy origin of self-consumed electricity. We are a sustainable bearing supplier concerned about the well-being of the environment and society around us.
Likewise, it is stipulated that these systems will annually produce an energy output exceeding 40,000 kWh, which will allow the company to reduce annual emissions of CO2 by 16 tons, a figure equivalent to 1,066 trees.
Royse‘s commitment to benefiting from renewable energy consumption is not new, as in July 2018, it implemented an energy self-consumption system designed to supply energy to the two branches located in Seville. In this way, as an industrial supplies and bearings company, we also recorded an achievement that resulted in a energy saving 25% in the second half of 2018, which means 3,000 euros saved on the electricity bill and a reduction of more than 10 tons in CO2 emissions.
Royse, a sustainable bearing supplier, also opts for energy storage systems
Furthermore, we will also have a reliable battery energy storage system. With this setup, we will supply clean energy to the night shifts of the aforementioned branches.
This is an energy storage system that will support the main grid, allowing us to resolve periods of energy intermittency that may occur.
